Twisters: The Album just got its newest addition, this time from Conner Smith and Tucker Wetmore.

Today (July 10), country crooners Smith and Wetmore released a twangy tune titled “Steal My Thunder” on all music streaming services, joining Luke Combs’ “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma,” Lainey Wilson’s “Out of Oklahoma,” Megan Moroney’s “Never Left Me” and more on Twisters: The Album. Known for it’s unique soundtrack jam-packed with today’s top country stars, it is safe to say that country music lovers will be flooding the theaters to see Twisters when it is released on July 19, starring some of the biggest names in film as well: Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos and more.

While there are still tunes to come from Miranda Lambert, Dylan Gossett, Jelly Roll and more on Twisters: The Album, “Steal My Thunder” marks Wetmore’s second appearance on the soundtrack, as he released “Already Had It” on June 7. Known for tunes outside of Twisters like “Wine Into Whiskey” and “Wind Up Missin’ You,” it is safe to say that 2024 has been quite the year for the soon-to-be country superstar, and Wetmore is not stopping anytime soon.

While Wetmore has been releasing music seemingly nonstop in a short period of time, “Steal My Thunder” marks Smith’s first release since his debut album, Smoky Mountains, hit streaming services on January 26, featuring fan favorite tunes like “I Hate Alabama” and “Creek Will Rise.”

To top it off, both artists are hitting the road to close out 2024, with Wetmore set to perform a total of 24 headlining shows, opening acts and festival sets and Smith set to perform a total of 16 headlining shows on his The Storyteller Tour. Needless to say, their schedules sound jam-packed…

With their personal endeavors aside, Smith and Wetmore first teased the tune on social media on July 3, exactly one week before its release. Posting a snippet of the pair singing the song while riding in a truck bed, fans had been anxiously awaiting “Steal My Thunder” ever since this teaser graced our social media feeds, taking to the comment section of the post to express their excitement:

“The duo we didn’t know we needed! Love it! 🔥🔥”

    “Absolutely LOVE this ❤️❤️❤️”

    “GASSSSSS 🔥🔥🔥”

To accompany the release, the duo dropped a music video, featuring both artists driving around in a bright orange truck — as well as riding in its truck bed — through the countryside. The weather throughout the music video looks rather treacherous, featuring a great deal of rain and wind, likely paying homage to the twisters seen throughout the film of the same name.

You can stream the song for yourself on your favorite platform, as well as watch its official music video here:
