Something tells me Ella Langley and Tucker Wetmore could create the next hottest duet in country music.
The two rising stars recently took part in US101’s Heart Strings For Hope Charity event in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Benefitting St. Jude’s Research Hospital, Langley and Wetmore performed throughout the night alongside Mitchell Tenpenny and Lauren Alaina during the event on Tuesday, March 10.
Of course, with an intimate, stripped-down setting and a lineup full of singer-songwriters, a few onstage crossovers were inevitable…and they did not disappoint. Ahead of the Friday, March 13 release of his latest single “Sunburn,” Wetmore gave the crowd a preview of the track, joined by none other than Miss Langley.
The carefree summer anthem has already become a favorite among Wetmore’s fan base, marking his first official release in 2026 after his 2025 singles, “Proving Me Right,” and his feature on BigXThaPlugs’ “About You.” Given it’s been almost a year since the April 2025 release of Wetmore’s sophomore album, What Not To, this single is also hopefully the first wave of more to come from the 26-year-old chart topper this year.
Surprisingly, this groovy beachy romance actually makes for the perfect duet between these two, with Langley’s harmonies heating up the track. One comment from an unfortunately way-too-short TikTok clip posted from the night sums up this unexpected collaboration with Langley perfectly: “Her voice sounds good with everyone.”
On a meteoric rise as one of country music’s leading ladies right now, Langley has been making waves with her Billboard Hot 100 Topping success, “Choosin’ Texas,” and the growing anticipation surrounding her upcoming April 10 album release, Dandelion. While her career continues to climb to new heights, seeing the 26-year-old Alabama native share an intimate moment onstage for a charity event speaks volumes about her down-to-earth roots.
This performance also marked one of the last independent appearances for both artists before they head out on their separate summer tours. Wetmore is currently continuing the extension of his Brunette World Tour and will return overseas with a show in Zurich on April 8 after a short break following a string of February dates. Likewise, following the release of Langley’s third album, she’ll embark on the accompanying Dandelion Tour, which kicks off May 7 in Toledo, Ohio.
