Lately, it feels like Zach Bryan lives his life with a pen in hand, teasing songs seemingly daily on Twitter and TikTok. Whether it is the highly anticipated track, “Deep Satin,” or older, SoundCloud-era songs such as “Dark,” Bryan has a goldmine of unreleased tracks begging to be discovered by new fans.
Here are five of the best songs that he has yet to release.
All Roads Lead Home
Before finding new life as a sound clip on TikTok, this former SoundCloud release was an obscure track before Bryan released “DeAnn” in 2019. The song captures the feeling of finding someone who feels like home perfectly. The subtle electric guitar licks throughout the song create a great sense of movement that pairs incredibly with Bryan’s always-brilliant lyrics.
No Bad Blood
Bryan’s collaboration with the Waidley Sisters is arguably one of his most popular unreleased songs. The harmonies are incredible, Bryan’s lyrics are poignant and the production is simple, yet gorgeous. Bryan’s DIY production here is top-notch.
Young Girl Eyes
Young Girl Eyes is another SoundCloud-era release. Bryan elevates a simple story of falling in love with incredible specificity and the added element of redemption throughout the narrative.
Pain, Sweet Pain
Longtime band member and friend, J.R. Carroll joins Bryan in this fun, romping track. Like much of Bryan’s pre-Warner Records work, “Pain, Sweet Pain” is a simple track with only acoustic guitars and basic drumstick percussion.
Sunday Afternoon
This nearly seven-minute song perfectly captures the mood of a melancholy Sunday afternoon. Like many of Bryan’s songs, “Sunday Afternoon” is a very self-reflective, open song. The nostalgic lyrics paint a very retrospective look back on lost love, family and past regrets.
