Wyatt Flores took his show to the land down under and even a step further by joining the crowd at his latest concert.
The 24-year-old Oklahoma native is currently out on the Australian leg of his Bucking Bin Chicken Tour with five shows in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Thirroul, and Brisbane. At his Thursday night, February 12, show in Perth, Western Australia, Flores got intimate with his Aussie fans, climbing into the crowd to sing, “Oh Susannah.”
Flores posted a clip from the night to his TikTok page with the caption, “I didn’t travel over 10,000 miles to just stand on the stage and sing.” With a 22-plus-hour flight and quite a few time zones to jump, it’s pretty admirable to see a growing artist like Flores continue to connect with his fans in this way.
From the clip, it’s not hard to see that the singer-songwriter was having the time of his life singing and shaking hands with the huddle of people around him. Like a true choir director, he even directs the crowd to sing along, saying, “All right, ya’ll gotta help me on the Oh’s, okay?” before leading them in a chant of enthusiastic harmonies.
With his upcoming stateside Drive All Night Tour beginning in March, Flores seems to be having a pretty great time beyond the stage by soaking in the sunshine ahead of time in Australia and hanging out with the wildlife. Earlier this week, he also posted a few selfies with a quokka, which is similar to a chubby-cheeked mini wallaby. “Met a quokka, went to the beach, and get to play our first show of the year tonight sold out in Perth. Life is good.”
For fans hoping to see Flores infectious energy on stage (and potentially amongst the crowd) he has 22 shows coming up throughout August alongside openers like Kashush Culpepper, Noah Rinker, and is even joining George Strait as a supporting act for his show in Clemson, SC.
