On July 23rd, 2011, Justin Moore’s “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away” was at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Singles chart.
The song was the lead single off of Justin’s second studio album, “Outlaws Like Me” and was his second No. 1 of his career.
Written by Dallas Davidson, Rob Hatch and Brett Jones, it was originally recorded by Rhett Akins in 2006 but did not chart. It’s no secret that Akins is one of the biggest song-writers in Country music but trust me, Justin’s version is what the world needed.
