After spending the first half of 2026 rounding out his previous Full Throttle tour along with a number of festival stops, Jason Aldean has officially kick-started his brand new tour celebrating his April album release, Songs About Us.
The coinciding summer tour commenced last night in Bangor, Maine, with the 32-number-one hit maker bringing all of his fan-favorite tracks to the Maine Savings Amphitheater. Despite a discography jam-packed with deep cuts and this brand new project yielding 20 new tracks, it’s pretty standard for Aldean to focus on playing his most popular songs during his concerts.
This tour seems to be no different, with the Georgia native kicking off his welcome to the stage with his classic rowdy-crowd 2005 anthem, “Hicktown,” followed by the high-energy “Lights Come On.” Throughout the night, he also performed the inevitable basics “Big Green Tractor,” “Dirt Road Anthem,” “Fly Over States,” and, of course, rounding out the show with “She’s Country.”
As for the tour’s namesake, from the actual album, Aldean played only four tracks (all radio singles), including “Whiskey Drink,” “How Far Does A Goodbye Go,” “Don’t Tell On Me,” and “Anytime Soon.” Understandably, with as many hits as Aldean, I could see how it would be hard to build a setlist that both pleases the masses with his iconic staples while also highlighting new music but I still can’t help but be disappointed by the lack of the title track (but I guess we’ll have to wait until his string of co-headlining shows with Luke Bryan to hear that one).
At least Aldean still performed his 2009 chart-topper, “The Truth” which he re-added back to his sets after it resurfaced on TikTok and become a mega viral audio for as Aldean puts it a bunch of heartbroken pre-pubescent teens, “I’ll be sitting at home on my phone, looking on Instagram and I see some 14-year-old kid sitting on his tailgate playing one of my old songs, talking about how heartbroken he is.” Adding, “I’m like… could you have really gone through that much stuff at 14?”
Continuing on the road alongside supporting acts Chase Matthew, Mackenzie Carpenter, and Dee Jay Silver, Aldean will return to the stage tonight in Holmdel, NJ. The 22-stop tour will then wrap up in early fall on September 26, in Gilford, New Hampshire.
