Jason Aldean is back with another addition to his “Fireside Sessions” series, this time highlighting a very special duet off of his upcoming album, Songs About Us.
Ahead of the 20-track project set to drop April 24, 2026, Aldean has not only been experimenting with a slow rollout for many of the songs leading up to the release, but he’s also been giving fans an intimate listening experience via these videos.
Today at 4 pm, the multi-platinum award-winning singer premiered the latest installment, featuring his wife, Brittany Aldean, for their song, “Easier Gone.” The video marks the fourth track to be stripped down on this album, alongside “Help You Remember, ““Her Favorite Color,” and “Don’t Tell On Me.” To kick things off, the husband-wife duo of almost 14 years also hosted a live chat diving into how the song came to be.
The two were very candid that the reason it took them so long to jump into a duet together is that they were waiting for the perfect song to record with Aldean piping in to clarify, “I just feel like sometimes when husbands and wives do things it can be cool or not.” Luckily, this project passed the stamp of approval, and since its January 8 release, Aldean revealed, “this video was the first time we ever did this thing live.”
The video is complete with a fireplace and rustic truck setting the ambiance for this stripped-down version of the track that not only highlights the full raw instrumentals taking center stage but also the gorgeous blending of the couple’s voices. While Aldean may be the professional here, with over 30 number one singles and eleven studio albums, Brittany’s stunning vocals truly shine through in this performance.
So far, with the album just a little over 40 days away, half of the tracks have already dropped, including the chart-topping “How Far Does A Goodbye Go” as well as fan favorite, “What’s A Little Heartache” and Adlean’s rendition of “Dust On The Bottle” alongside David Lee Murphy. In celebration of the album’s release, Aldean will be bringing these same singing chops with amped up energy for his upcoming 2026 Songs About Us Tour. With 22 stops throughout the summer, Aldean will kick things into gear on July 16 in Bangor, Maine, and continue across North America until the final show on September 26 in Gilford, New Hampshire.
