In honor of those we lost to the good fight…
Four years ago today, Justin Moore performed his hit single “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home” on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol at the 15th Annual National Memorial Day Parade and it was POWERFUL.
The National Memorial Day Parade is the largest Memorial Day parade in the nation. It draws more than 250,000 spectators on-site and millions more watch it live on TV.
The single, off his record Late Nights and Longnecks, honors those who serve(d) in the military, as police officers, fire-fighters, first-responders, teachers and nurses, and unfortunately, lost their lives fighting for our freedom.
When you think of patriotic Country songs, especially ones that honor the military, you typically think of Toby Keith, but Moore’s The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home will forever be cranked over Memorial Day weekend, at least in my house.
