Just when you thought 2025 couldn’t get any crazier for country music crossovers, Parker McCollum and Kid Rock have officially joined forces.
Tonight, May 16, Kid Rock headlined his annual PBR Rock N Rodeo show at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Joining him on stage for the Rodeo’s live performance was none other than Limestone Kid himself, Parker McCollum.
Clips from the night are already circulating on TikTok, showing the duo performing some of Kid Rock’s biggest hits, including the classic “Cowboy” and his 2017 collaboration with Uncle Kracker, “Good to Be Me.” McCollum also delivered a performance of his own hit, “To Be Loved By You.”
While McCollum’s appearance may have caught fans off guard, it wasn’t entirely unexpected. Rumors began swirling yesterday when the two were spotted together on the jumbotron at Globe Life Field during the Texas Rangers vs. Houston Astros game.
Not to mention, both stars are seemingly pretty aligned on their politics. McCollum was one of the many performers at President Donald Trump’s Inauguration on January 20. Likewise, Kid Rock took the stage the night before for Trump’s victory rally pre-inauguration. Given their joint love for rodeos, republicanism, and country music, it’s actually the perfect pairing.
Launched back in 2022, the Rock N Rodeo is an annual event that combines a live Kid Rock concert with a high-energy PBR (Professional Bull Riders) bracket competition featuring six elite bull-riding teams. This year, the full rodeo as well as Kid Rock’s live performance are being televised by Fox Nation.
As for McCollum, he’s no stranger to the rodeo scene. Back in March, he returned to RodeoHouston for the third time, performing a 12-song set and even making a dramatic entrance on horseback. He’s also gearing up for a big year with the release of his upcoming self-titled album, Parker McCollum, set to drop on June 27.
The new record is said to return to the sound of his debut, The Limestone Kid. So far, fans have gotten a taste of what’s to come with the release of “What Kinda Man,” “Hope That I’m Enough,” and his latest single, “Big Sky,” which dropped on May 7.
And of course, a new album usually means a new tour. McCollum announced a slew of new summer tour dates back in March that extended his What Kinda Man Tour with shows throughout June to October. Joining him on the road are up-and-coming openers like Hudson Westbrook, Ashley Cooke, Kameron Marlowe, Vincent Mason, Laci Kaye Booth, and Kassi Ashton. And who knows, maybe Kid Rock will return the favor and make a surprise appearance at one of the stops.
