Kip Moore Releases New Song “Kinda Bar,” Second Single Off Upcoming Album “Damn Love”

Can it be April 28th yet?

Kinda Bar marks the second single released in anticipation of Kip Moore’s fifth studio album, Damn Love. Unlike the first single also titled Damn Love, Kinda Bar has a nineties country feel that sounds like it should be playing in your local dive bar during happy hour.

The track marks a clear diversion from the sound of the aforementioned first single. While Damn Love has a very eighties synth rock-inspired production from the electronic-heavy intro to the driving percussion, Kinda Bar has a much more traditional country sound. The thick acoustic guitar riffs and chorus melody simply beg you to stomp your boots and sing along.

Though Moore stands out in the genre for his soulful, introspective lyrics on songs like Guitar Man, Payin’ Hard and Part of Growing Up, Kinda Bar relies heavily on the instrumentation. The lyrics are pretty standard country fare; however, the track is elevated by excellent production and Moore’s vocals.
