Morgan Wallen has now scored his tenth No. 1 song on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart with “Thinkin’ Bout Me.”
Written by Ashley Gorley, Charlie Handsome, John Byron and Taylor Delmar Phillips, the hip-hop influenced track broke the top 30 before ever officially being released as a radio single. From there, it took just 9 weeks to reach the top spot.
According to country music chart insider, Chris Owen, Morgan has spent a total of 13 weeks at No. 1 on the Airplay chart this year and a total of 22 weeks since last October, becoming the first artist to spend that many weeks at No. 1 on the chart for a solo artist in a one year-span.
Even though there is no official music video for Thinkin’ Bout Me as of this moment, the lyric video itself has racked up an impressive 36 million views.
Morgan’s previous single, “Last Night” was not only his most successful to date, but one of the biggest singles, all-genre, this year. It only took 11 weeks to reach No. 1, the fastest for any artist since Luke Bryan in 2015. It is also currently the best selling song of 2023 thus far and recently broke Harry Styles’ record to become the longest running No. 1 solo song in Billboard’s Hot 100 history.
Morgan recently added new dates to his One Thing At A Time World Tour for 2024, featuring a hilarious video with Peyton and Eli Manning.
The additional tour dates will kick off April 4th at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and runs all the way until August 8th.
