It’s been a busy year for Morgan Wallen.
As we approach the mid-way point of December, the year-end stats have been dominating the news cycle, and speaking of domination, Morgan not only had the most-streamed album of 2025 on Apple Music AND Spotify, he was also crowned Billboard’s Top Artist of the Year, an honor no male country artist has received since Garth Brooks over 30 years ago.
But throughout all the touring and record-breaking accolades, even the biggest superstars take a breath to celebrate the holidays this time of year – and that’s exactly what the 32 year-old singer/songwriter plans to do this cold month of December.
During a recent interview, Wallen shared some of his favorite Christmas traditions, as well as his favorite holiday movie (this one’s a no brainer, if we’re being honest), and nope, it’s not Die Hard people, it’s a good ol’ classic feel-good Will Ferrell holiday film that everyone should throw on the television this time of year…
“I don’t watch many Christmas movies, but if I had to pick, Elf.”
When it comes to holiday movies (and especially Christmas music), I’m not really a huge fan, either. But one thing I DO love are the decorations, and that’s one thing Morgan says he appreciated growing up…
“My mom is a big decorator, so I kinda got some of that from her. I enjoy the decorations. I like real, but I didn’t grow up with real. My mom always kept a fake one — well, a few fake ones. It’s always like the saddest day of the year to me whenever the Christmas tree goes away and all that goes away.”
Same Morgan, same. But cheers to the new year and all of the resolutions that will be broken on day one. 2027 will be our year for sure!
