Morgan Wallen once again let his instincts get the best of him at his recent Friday night, June 5, show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
After last weekend’s piano-flipping incident in Denver, the “I’m The Problem” singer is once again receiving some flak for his impulsive decision to grab a phone out of a security guard’s hand standing in front of the Acrisure Stadium stage. During the show’s opening performance of “Don’t We,” Wallen snatched the phone from the female guard before flinging it across the stage and into the audience.
With multiple points of view now posted online of the incident, fans have some mixed opinions over Wallen’s reaction. According to a comment from user @J.croo419 on one now viral TikTok post, “It was actually my wife’s phone that got tossed. She gave it to the security girl to hand up to Morgan Wallen to hopefully grab and take a selfie.”
In another video, actually posted by the same user, allegedly the husband, the security guard can be seen still facing forward to the crowd with her arms reaching up to video Wallen’s performance. Wallen poses right in front of the phone’s camera before walking away, turning around, and deciding to grab it out of the guard’s grip.
The Sneedville native certainly put his baseball-throwing arm to good use, launching it into the distance, which angered quite a few fans in the comment section who saw the interaction as an abrasive reaction.

On the other hand, many others came to the defense of Wallen, noting that security guards are usually not allowed to record while on the job.

With Wallen’s Still The Problem tour almost halfway through, this sporadic decision certainly doesn’t shine him in the brightest light; however, there’s still some undeniable merit to the fact that Wallen didn’t recognize the whole story in the moment and was upset at the guard disregarding job guidelines. In the end, at least the husband of the phone owner further clarified that, luckily, “Phone was recovered with no damage.”
As for round two of his Pittsburgh weekend, tonight’s June 6 show was unfortunately cancelled due to imminent weather. Wallen will return to the road once again in two weeks, on June 19 in Chicago, Illinois, with just ten shows left for his summer touring season.
