Celebrating 40 years of their legendary career, Shenandoah is heading back on the road this year for a massive lineup of 38 North American dates.
Bringing their hits “Two Dozen Roses” and “The Moon Over Georgia” back to life, the Alabama band recently announced they would be hugely honoring this momentous anniversary alongside their fans. They will officially hit the stage starting on March 27 in Wickenburg, Arizona, and spend the remainder of the year touring, wrapping things up on December 5 in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
What originally started as a house band in their hometown of Muscle Shoals led to their 1987 self-titled debut album, which produced their first two chart-topping singles, “Stop the Rain” and “They Don’t Make Love Like We Used To.” Throughout their long history, the band has seen some changes with Marty Raybon leaving in 1997 and later rejoining as the lead singer in 2014.
Now at age 66, Raybon still brings his same high-energy robust voice to every performance, reviving their classic ’90s hits. The tour will stop by a few Canadian dates and travel coast to coast across the United States, including a few festival stops throughout the summer. They’ve previously announced appearances at Rock The Country, Two Step Inn, and, most recently, the inaugural Alan Jackson’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere Fest kicking off in West Palm Beach, Florida, in June.
With ten studio albums as well as 26 Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart Toppers to their name, their undeniable legacy makes them a bucket list concert. Likewise, this series of shows is bound to be special in honor of the band’s 40 years of success. Now’s the chance to snag tickets to witness these country legends live while you can.
