2024 very well might go down as the year of Riley Green. Between the success of his collaboration with Ella Langley, “you look like you love me,” the opening of his Nashville bar, Riley Green’s Duck Blind and a plethora of headlining spots on festivals throughout the year, it seems like the Alabama native is finally having his “moment.”
Today, he’s looking to firmly place himself into superstardom with the release of his third studio album, Don’t Mind If I Do.
Green took to Instagram on September 5th to announce the album with the release of the title track.
Describing the album, Green noted that the album is a cumulation of his entire life,“It feels fitting that this album is out on my birthday because this project feels very true to who I am, where I come from and what I’ve learned along the way. I learned to play guitar to my granddaddy’s favorite Country songs from back in the day and this new album is a throwback to the era when I first became a fan.”
That sentiment is echoed in the writing room. Green co-wrote 11 of the 18 tracks on Don’t Mind If I Do. Among the 11 co-writes are five completely independently penned tracks by Green, including pre-released hits, “Jesus Saves” and “Worst Way.” As for “Jesus Saves,” there’s no doubt that it’s a contender for Song of the Year, even being described by Thomas Rhett as the best release of 2024:
“Not that my opinion really matters, but I think Riley Green’s song ‘Jesus Saves’ is the best song of the year.”

Overall, Don’t Mind If I Do is sure to please fans of the “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” singer while simultaneously evolving his sound. You still get Green’s signature odes to small-town lifestyle and heartbreak heaters filled with traditional instrumentation. However, you see Green experimenting with some new sounds and styles on tracks such as “Worst Way” and “Change My Mind.” There’s no doubt that Green is headed to superstar status, and the release of Don’t Mind If I Do is bound to propel him to it.
Green will be touring behind the album throughout 2025 on his Damn Country Music Tour. Early dates include the following:
