It’s hard to imagine a band that’s hotter than Treaty Oak Revival at the moment. Between scoring their first-ever ACM Award nomination for Best New Duo/Group, a half-dozen gold certifications from the RIAA and a cult-following through their electric live shows, the West Texas band has become nothing short of a shot of adrenaline in the country-rock scene.
Just a week after alerting fans that they’re putting the finishing touches on their third studio album, Treaty Oak announced that they would be making their first-ever late night TV appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last Thursday:
Despite many country fans having less-than-favorable views of Jimmy Kimmel, there’s no denying that there’s been an uptick in some of the best acts in the independent scene appearing on the program. With their performance last night, Treaty Oak joined the likes of Turnpike Troubadours, Sierra Ferrell and Maggie Rose, all of whom made their late night television debuts on his late show within the past year.
As for the appearance itself, despite the noticeable lack of beer-throwing, Treaty Oak absolutely killed it. Performing their current single, “Bad State of Mind,” the band flawlessly brought their patented blend of country and grunge to a national audience and once again proved why they’re one of the hottest groups in the genre today.
Treaty Oak is currently out on the road with one of the hottest tours in the genre right now. Upcoming dates include the following:
