Comin’ up on five years.
Back in 2018, Morgan Wallen released his debut studio album, “If I Know Me,” through Big Loud Records.
Even with the success of his second single, “Up Down,” featuring Florida Georgia Line, I don’t think many (including myself) could’ve predicted that the former The Voice contestant would eventually become the biggest artist in all of country music.
The album also featured his massive single, “Whiskey Glasses,” which became the most-played song at country radio in 2019, along with “Chasin’ You” and “The Way I Talk.”
Aside from the hit singles at radio, If I Know Me also contained some pretty popular deep cuts, including the title track, “Not Good At Not” and “Talkin’ Tennesse.”
Morgan’s vocals have changed significantly ever since he was a contestant on The Voice back in 2014. Although he still sings very similar to that of his debut album, there was something more raw and smooth sounding that isn’t always on full-display in his most recent efforts.
One of those examples is his live performance video for “Talkin’ Tennesse” published to his Youtube account back in September of 2019.
