At this point in time, you either watched it happen live or you’ve seen the clips on social media. But, during last Thursday’s presidential debate on CNN between incumbent Joe Biden and former president Donald Trump, the two went head-to-head on abortion, foreign policy, inflation and well…their golf game.
It all started when both presidents were asked about voters’ concerns in regard to their age. When it came time for Trump to answer, he said he feels just as good as he did 25 years ago, while using his golf game to back up that claim.
“I just won two club championships. Not even senior, two regular club championships. To do that you have to be quite smart and you have to be able to hit the ball a long way, and I do it. He doesn’t do it, he can’t hit a ball 50 yards. He challenged me to a golf match, he can’t hit a ball 50 yards. I think I’m in very good shape.”
Biden, trying to act like the aggressor he once was in his younger years, fired back at the former president having this to say:
“Look, I’d be happy to have a driving contest with him. I got my handicap when I was Vice President down to a 6. By the way, I told you before I’m happy to play golf if you carry your own bag. Think you can do it?”

And during his recent performance at his joint-headlining Rock The Country festival with Kid Rock in Poplar Bluff, Jason Aldean brought up the hilarious golf exchange between the two presidents and called bulls*t on Biden’s claim:
“The biggest issue I had was Biden saying he was a 6 handicap. I’m callin’ bullsh*t. Clearly that’s the least of his worries...”
The exchange happened before Aldean performed his 2012 hit, “Fly Over States,” which prompted the 47-year old country singer to once again share that the Biden campaign asked to use the No. 1 hit during 2020, and of course his answer was “f**k no.” You can read that story here.
Not only has Aldean been vocal about his support for the 45th president, the two have spent quite a bit of time together – most notably this past New Years eve, when Jason and his wife spent time with Donald and Melania at their Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach, Florida. If Trump is re-elected for his second term, I’d put money on Aldean performing at his inauguration.
