I think it’s safe to say he’s here to stay…
Over the weekend, Post Malone made several appearances all around Nashville for CMA Fest. From performing Joe Diffie’s “Pickup Man,” and then being gifted one of the late country singers old hats by Joe’s oldest grandson, to performing alongside Blake Shelton, it appears Post Malone’s country gig isn’t a fluke.
Of course Post Malone has been flirting with country music for years, covering the likes of Sturgill Simpson, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson and more, to his recent collaboration with Morgan Wallen on “I Had Some Help.” And on Friday, the country newcomer covered one of The King’s all-time classics, “Carrying Your Love With Me.”
This isn’t the first time Posty has covered George Strait, however. Back in April, his setlist at California’s Stagecoach festival included performances of some of the biggest country songs of all time, including Strait’s 1995 No. 1 hit, “Check Yes Or No.” You can watch that performance here.
While we “patiently” wait for an official release date for Malone’s forthcoming country album, check out this clip of him covering “Carrying Your Love With Me,” below.
