Always a good day when Zach Bryan teases new music.
Late last night, the 27 year-old singer/songwriter uploaded a video of him performing a brand new song on the piano, titled “The Way Back,” to his YouTube channel.
Although Zach has become one of the biggest country artists in the world over the last year or two, this video feels reminiscent of his early underground days, partially due to the fact that the video and sound quality aren’t exactly met with high standard, but that’s just the way his fans like it.
Sitting behind his piano with a view of the kitchen in what appears to be his loft apartment, Zach sings:
“I saw you in my dreams last night, you had a vandal grin framed by a suit and tie
You were saying you were out of here, with your breath framed by cocaine and beer
Who’d of thought, she would ruin you, leave your whole damn family in shambles too
I got a call from your mom months back, saying I wish he didn’t leave town like that”
Bryan kicks off his Quittin’ Time Tour next week with back-to-back nights in Chicago with The Middle East and Levi Turner as openers. On top of those two acts, the Turnpike Troubadours, Jason Isbell, Sierra Ferrell and Sheryl Crow will also make appearances at select dates. You can view those here.
