Nothing better than live acoustic performances.
On Thursday Flatland Cavalry uploaded an acoustic video performance of “Forgotten” to their official YouTube channel.
Off their most recent album, “Wandering Star,” the video was filmed outside underneath a beautiful sunset (or sunrise) in Los Angeles and features a lone frontman Cleto Cordero without his five other bandmates.
Surrounded by popular tracks such as “Don’t Have To Do This Like That” and “Mornings With You,” another collaboration featuring Cleto’s wife, Kaitlin Butts, the last song on the album can be, well..forgotten (pun intended).
Make no mistake, however, Forgotten is one of the more subtle, yet beautifully written tracks off the new record, and although this LA Performance video is considered acoustic, it doesn’t stray from the original production of the studio version.
Cleto kicks off the video with a short introduction:
“This is a song I wrote with my good friend Ben Roberts for all those lost wandering souls out there.”
The band has recently released two additional acoustic video performances, including one for “Wool,” an original track made for the newly-released film, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, as well as for one of my personal favorites “Don’t Have To Do This Like That.”
Flatland is currently on their Wandering Star 2024 Tour featuring Colby Acuff, Zach Top and more. The tour recently kicked off in Texas last month and runs all the way until July. More dates to be announced soon.
