    1993 was a year that produced some all-time classics in the genre with Toby Keith’s Should’ve Been A Cowboy and Alan Jackson’s Chattahoochee both being released.

    Staples of the 90s such as Vince Gill, Travis Tritt and Brooks & Dunn also experienced success throughout the year, each scoring #1s.

    23 different artists scored 33 unique #1 hits this year with only one song, Alan Jackson’s Chattahoochee, spending more than three weeks at the top of the chart.

    Garth Brooks and Tracy Lawerence led all country artists with three #1s a piece. Brooks saw Somewhere Other Than the Night, Ain’t Goin’ Down (‘Til the Sun Comes Up) and That Summer all go #1 while Lawerence saw Alibis, Can’t Break It to My Heart and My Second Home top the charts.
