On the heels of the announcement that Blake Shelton will depart from Warner Music Nashville after more than two decades, the “God’s Country” singer took to Instagram today (September 5) to announce that the beloved Friends & Heroes Tour will make its return in 2025, featuring special guests Craig Morgan, Deana Carter, and Trace Adkins, as well as The Voice alum Emily Ann Roberts.
“Friends & Heroes 2025!!!!! I’m so excited to be bringing back the Friends & Heroes Tour next year… This is one of my favorite tours and I can’t wait for y’all to see what we’ve got up our sleeves!!! For those who are unfamiliar, the Oklahoma native’s “friends and heroes” format invites his musical heroes — who are Craig Morgan, Deana Carter, and Trace Adkins this time around– as well as his favorite up-and-coming artists, out on the road to share the stage together
It has been several years since the last iteration of the Friends & Heroes Tour, but it is safe to say that the original run of performances was a huge success, receiving top-notch reviews from a wide range of news outlets who stopped by a show:
The Oklahoman: “Blake Shelton is taking hero worship to a new level with his new tour.”
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: “It gives Shelton a chance to share his sharp band and packed houses with veteran country stars who prove they’ve still got the goods and are still beloved.”
The Tampa Bay Times: “It was the sort of multi-generational lineup that’s far too rare in country music these days, and it yielded a jukebox’s worth of hits spanning some 40 years, curated by one of the most charismatic cats in Music City.”
“The Friends & Heroes Tour is one of my favorite tours, because as a fan, I can’t think of a cooler concert to see,” Shelton shared in a statement, promising that the 2025 Friends & Heroes Tour will be equally as exceptional. “I get spoiled every night seeing these icons come out and do four or five of the biggest hits of their storied careers, and then get introduced to new talent like Emily Ann. I can’t wait.”
The Friends & Heroes Tour will hit a dozen different cities, beginning in Lexington, KY on February 27 and concluding in State College, PA on March 22. Aside from this soon-to-be successful tour, Shelton also has plans for a “Live In Las Vegas” residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, which will occur on February 5, 7, 8, 12, 14, and 15, shortly before the tour begins.
As mentioned briefly in Shelton’s Instagram post, exclusive fan presale for the Friends & Heroes Tour begins Tuesday, September 10, at 10am local time through Thursday, September 12, at 10am local time. After the presale comes and goes, general onsale will begin Friday, September 13, at 10am local time. Set your alarms, because we have a feeling you will not want to miss this one!
