When Morgan Wallen’s I’m The Problem released back on May 16th, everyone knew that it was going to be smash hit. With a mammoth 37 songs present, every chart guru speculated that it was going to be one of the biggest album releases of the decade. The only question that remained was just how big was it going to be? It turns out it was nothing short of record-breaking.
On Sunday, it was confirmed that I’m The Problem did, in fact, debut at #1 on the all-genre Billboard 200, experiencing the largest streaming week for any album in 2025. The record sold a staggering 493,000 equivalent units with 462.63 million on-demand streams and 133,000 pure sales alone.
Today, the full Billboard Hot 100 for the week of May 31st was released, and Wallen once again broke a plethora of records.
Beginning with the most notable achievement, the 32-year-old singer/songwriter broke his own record for most songs charted on the Billboard Hot 100 in a single week with 37 separate entires. This, of course, breaks his previous record of 36 songs back in 2023 following the release of his third studio album, One Thing At A Time, which saw every single song on the LP make an appearance on the chart.
This time around, 36 out of the 37 songs on I’m The Problem are present on the Hot 100 with “Lies Lies Lies” being absent; however, his inclusion on Post Malone’s Grammy-nominated single, “I Had Some Help” enabled Wallen to secure his record-breaking 37th song on the chart.
Wallen scored his 4th #1 on the Hot 100 today with “What I Want” featuring pop star, Tate McRae. This became his fourth all-genre chart-topper and McRae’s first. This #1 hit also enabled the Tennessee native to break another Hot 100 record for a country artist.
With “What I Want,” “Just In Case and “I’m The Problem” occupying the Hot 100’s top three spots, Wallen has become the first country artist ever to occupy the top three positions in the chart’s 66-year history. In fact, he became just the sixth artist ever to notch the feat, joining the likes of The Beatles, Taylor Swift, Drake and more.
A full list of artist who have achieved this “triple crown” tally on the Hot 100 are as follows:
- The Beatles (5x)
- Taylor Swift (3x)
- Drake (3x)
- Kendrick Lamar (2x)
- Ariana Grande (1x)
- Morgan Wallen (1x)
Additionally, Wallen set another record for country artists. In addition to the three aforementioned songs topping the Hot 100, the “Last Night” singer has a staggering six songs in the Top 10. This makes him the first-ever country artist to chart six or more songs inside the Top 10. Wallen becomes just the fifth artist ever to accomplish this, joining the likes of Swift, Lamar, Drake and 21 Savage.
Finally, Wallen has now charted 100 separate songs on the Hot 100, becoming the first country artist ever to achieve this milestone.
