With rumblings of a sophomore album release aplenty online over the past few weeks, many were wondering when exactly Zach Top would make an official announcement. After promising a new record this summer back in March, today, the “I Never Lie” singer officially announced that his brand new LP, Ain’t In It For My Health, and it’s releasing on Friday, August 29th.
Minutes ago, Top took to Instagram with the caption, “The subtle hints and cryptic announcments are over. Your new favorite summer banger, ‘Good Times & Tan Lines,’ is out now! And if that’s not enough, my second record, ‘Ain’t In It For My Health,’ will be out 8/29. You’ll be able to pre-order and pre-save it this Friday 6/13.”
Ain’t In It For My Health aims to follow up the monster success of his debit album, Cold Beer & Country Music, which catapulted Top to the top of the genre last year with hits such as the certified-platinum, “I Never Lie,” as well as fan-favorites, “Use Me” and “Sounds Like The Radio.”
There’s no denying that the 27-year-old singer/songwriter has becoming nothing short of a phenomenon over the past year. From the virality of his aforementioned hits to his dedication to bringing back the classic 90’s sound that so many have craved, the reigning ACM New Male Artist has cemented himself as a certified star in country music.
As of now, there is no tracklist for Ain’t In It For My Health. It’s safe to assume, however, that last year’s single, “Beer For Breakfast” as well as “Flip Flop,” which has been teased multiple times in concert will appear on the album along with “Good Times & Tan Lines.”
As mentioned in his Instagram caption, Ain’t For My Health will be avaliable for pre-order and pre-save this Friday, June 13th on all platforms.
