In case you thought that Brandon Lake’s country era was coming to a close, he still very much has a full-blown genre-blending album on the way.

The Texas-born Christian singer-songwriter gave fans a glimpse into what’s to come for the project with two brand-new previews of unreleased songs slated to be on the tracklist. Oh, and not to mention, he also took to social media yesterday to give users another behind-the-scenes sneak peek at an unnamed tune that he stated was his “most country thing I’ve ever written.”

But as for his live performances of the other two promised tracks, he premiered both at his September 13 Uncasville, Connecticut show, including his Hardy co-penned surefire hit, “Bones and Boots” (talk about a true Hardy title). The “Gratitude” singer revealed the collaboration project, which was written during his country music songwriting retreat earlier this year, during an interview with Katie Neal, saying, “It is a HARDY type song, but also feels like me. And the whole idea is like, you know, when I’m dead and gone…if you come looking for me, all you’re going to find is bones and boots.”

As for the second of the two upcoming country-ified Christian bangers, Lake performed his cleverly titled track, “Hell No.” And while I can imagine the gasps through the screen…it’s not in the cursing manner we’d usually use that terminology.

Ahead of his performance, he told the crowd about his experience fighting off demons and needing to anoint his brand new home after some ‘spooky stuff’ was going on: “If God is real, there certainly is a real enemy, so sometimes you just gotta look at hell, and you just gotta say, ‘No.'” As the crowd erupted in cheers in agreement, he continued by ensuring, “Don’t worry, I ain’t making you cuss or anything, alright.”

While Lake has yet to confirm an official release date for the full album— or whether it will arrive in 2026 or 2027— what he’s teased so far points to a promising blend of genres that builds on his previously released collaborations with Lainey Wilson, Cody Johnson, and Jelly Roll.
