There’s simply no way…
At this point, I thought I’d seen it all when it came to concert etiquette taboos. You don’t throw things on stage, you don’t steal people’s seats, and you don’t block others’ views by filming the whole 2 hours on your phone.
Well, apparently we also need to add to the list: don’t scream like a grieving hyena at the top of your lungs while the artist is performing. A woman on TikTok has gone insanely viral for sharing her experience of that exact horror as she recorded the woman next to her SCREAMING during a Chris Stapleton concert.
The user, @nicknkc, publicly called out the incident at Stapleton’s recent Kansas City show this past Thursday, October 15. In her message to the fellow fan sitting in section 312, row K, seat 3 (yes, we’re looking at you), she wrote, “Thank you so much for ruining so much of a great live performance with your obnoxious screaming and howling like a cat in heat. I can’t imagine being this self-centered and rude to others.”
And before you listen to the monstrosity, I’d like to offer a warning to all headphone users or people with pets nearby who will surely have a visceral reaction to the noises this woman makes. I’m not sure what possessed the fellow concertgoer to howl like she was going down a roller coaster during Stapleton’s performance of “Think I’m In Love With You,” but there was no drowning out her screams.
While the user confirmed people did notify security, she still ruined a majority of the show for everyone around her. Another nearby fan confirmed that when people would ask her to stop and quiet down, “the louder and more obnoxious she got.”

Safe to say everyone who viewed the post with well over a million views is equally enraged by the experience. Luckily, there’s a comment section of well over 2000 people who would probably happily volunteer to whoop the screaming hyena’s a** themselves:

I don’t know who told this woman that this was an acceptable form of singing or what kind of drugs she could have possibly been on, but this truly should be grounds for a lifelong ban from concerts. Unfortunately, Stapleton’s Kansas City show was one of his last stops too, as he prepares to wrap up his 2026 All-American Road Show tour next Monday (October 26) in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Stapleton will also perform his final show of the year in Nashville at the Ronnie Bowman Tribute on December 1.
