Just over a year after the release of his sophmore album, Shot Glass, Randall King is back with a brand new single, Green Eyes Blue.
King, most famous for his 2021 hit, You In A Honky Tonk, took to Twitter on Mar. 17 to announce the singles release. Flash forward a week later, and it’s officially out.
The track is exactly what you’d expect from a Randall King song; it’s rock solid. There’s plenty of steel guitar present throughout the song, his vocals are smooth, showing flashes of George Strait and it feels right at home in any era of country music. King’s timeless quality of music truly feels like an anomaly in today’s trend-chasing music landscape.
“I wrote this a couple years back with Randy Montana about this great green eyes girl I know. It’s about being a better man and leaving your wild ways behind to not hurt the one you love.”
