The song that keeps on giving…
Today, Spotify revealed their list for the most streamed songs this summer and taking home the top spot in the States, is “Last Night” by Morgan Wallen.
Coming at No. 2 and No. 3, respectfully, is “Ella Baila Sola” by Eslabon Armado and Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer.”
The next Country song on the list is Luke Combs’ cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car“ in the sixth position. While Morgan has two additional songs featured, the only other Country artist to round out the most streamed songs on the music platform, is Zach Bryan with “Something In The Orange.” (Shocker, huh?)
Just a month ago, Country songs rounded out the top three on Billboard’s Hot 100 for the first time in history since the chart’s premiere in 1958. And this past week? it happened again. Other than Aldean’s “Try That In A Small Town” being swapped out for “Rich Men North Of Richmond” by overnight sensation, Oliver Anthony, the other two songs also appear on Spotify’s most streamed list; Last Night and Fast Car.
I’d say it’s a damn good time for Country music right now.
