Riley Green just can’t seem to stop collecting titles recently, from singer-songwriter to actor, Voice coach, and, most recently, Dr. Green— but I think I draw the line at artist.
While his drawing skills may not be complete stick-figure level, he’s also not necessarily up to speed with Picasso; but at least he’s able to conjure up one good doodle, and fittingly, it’s of a little turkey. This past weekend, a loyal Duckman fan put the fate of her next tattoo in the hands of Green, holding up a poster throughout the night that stated, “Riley, can you please draw my next tattoo?”
In the middle of his show at the Resch Complex in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the “Worst Way” singer spotted the sign waving in the air in the front row and promptly started drawing in the little designated box at the bottom right of the paper. Flipping his artwork around to the crowd, he proudly showed everyone, “it’s a turkey.”
Surely enough, the superfan by the name of Ella took no time following Thursday night’s July 16 show before updating everyone on her social media that she promptly got the sketch tattooed on the back of her arm. I gotta give it to Green; the tiny thin-lined drawing came out pretty cute, and it’s a pretty epic tattoo origin story to be able to tell.
Considering the country music superstar has essentially built his brand off of the duck hunting imagery, it’s pretty funny he decided to draw a turkey instead, but given he and Carl the Cowboy Corgi are also avid turkey hunting fans, I guess Riley Turkeyman works too. Turns out, this isn’t the first time Green has pulled out this signature drawing for a tattoo request either.
Another fan, Danny, commented underneath Ella’s post with a picture of him holding up a similar poster featuring a doodle of a near-identical turkey drawing, done by Green. He added, “Must be one of his favorite drawings lol.”
Per Danny’s original post about his very own turkey tattoo, Green grabbed his sign at a September 2024 concert, and the fan also ended up with the bird along with Green’s signature and the tour date tattooed on his body.
I would love to know how many other fans out there in the world are a part of this turkey tattoo cult and share the same inked design. Likewise, if any other Braves fans want to take a shot at getting Green to design their tattoo at his upcoming dates on the continuation of his 2026 Cowboy As It Gets Tour, please let me know if he continues the pattern of turkey doodles.
