Six years ago… Back in July of 2017, Tyler Childers covered Hank Williams’ classic, “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry” at The Slaughtered Lamb in London. Childers has included this song in his setlist on a handful of other occasions, but for some odd reason, I’m pretty addicted to this select video. So Lonesome I Could Cry was originally written and recorded at the Herzog Studio by Hank back in 1949 and still remains popular within the genre today. And I mean, ain’t nothin’ wrong with a voice like Childers’ puttin’ a fresh spin on and old classic. Check it…

One of the most iconic Country songs of the 2000’s. Zac Brown Band has been known for a TON of popular songs throughout their lengthy career. Right up there with “Toes,” I’d say their debut single “Chicken Fried” is arguably their biggest single to date. Released on June 16th, 2008, and written by Brown, as well as Wyatt Durrette, Chicken Fried was actually originally recorded in 2003 but wasn’t released to radio until after the band signed to Live Nation Records. Fun fact; the song was also recorded and released as a single by The Lost Trailers in 2006 but…
This morning, ERNEST took to Instagram to share his cover of “Slow Dancing In A Burning Room,” the popular 2006 deep cut by John Mayer. While it hasn’t yet been released on iTunes or Spotify, ERNEST shared his cover on YouTube through what he’s calling “Circle Sessions.” In the past couple of years, ERNEST has made a huge name for himself, most recent being his feature on Morgan Wallen’s track, “Cowgirls.” And just a few weeks ago, ERNEST released the single “Takes After You,” a beautifully dedicated song to all the moms out there. We of course can’t forget “Flower…
The “new era” of PRT continues… Pecos & The Rooftops recently released their latest single, “Last Thing I Remember,” and the music video is officially out now. Once again directed by Wales Toney, who’s also responsible for “Last Night’s Lashes” and the video for the bands massive hit “This Damn Song,” the music video depicts a couple in a toxic (and potentially abusive) relationship, with the main focus seemingly put on the guy. Last Thing I Remember was written by frontman Pecos Hurley, as well as Andrew Baylis and Michael Whitworth, and is the second single since the band signed…
Phew, it just doesn’t quit. On top of recently surpassing Taylor Swift to become the artist with the most weeks at No. 1 on the billboard 200 chart this decade (21 weeks), Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” has now become the longest running No. 1 Country song in history on Billboard’s Hot 100, surpassing “Lady” by Kenny Rogers from 1980. Spending it’s 7th week at the top spot, “Last Night” also tops the Country Airplay chart for a third week, having become the first track to top the Hot 100 and Country Airplay simultaneously. On top of all of that, Morgan’s 2021 release,…
Exactly 5 years ago today, singer Chris Stapleton took home three Billboard Music awards. Stapleton made a name for himself as a solo artist in 2015 with the album release of “Traveller.” Years later, in 2018, Stapleton took home the Billboard Music award for Top Country Album for the creation of “From A Room: Vol. 1.” With hits like “Broken Halos,” “Either Way,” and “Without Your Love,” Stapleton’s masterpiece of an album highlighted the vast musical range he possesses to this day. All within the same, Stapleton also received the Top Country Artist award and the Top Country Male Artist…
