Often referred to as one of the most compelling artists in today’s new generation of songwriters, there’s no doubt that Dylan Gossett is one of the most exciting voices in country music today. Fresh off of the announcement of his debut album, Westward, which releases July 18th, Gossett is hitting the road this fall with a tour bearing the same name.
Minutes ago, the “Coal” singer took to Instagram to officially announce The Westward Tour:
The Westward Tour will begin on September 11th in Birmingham, Alabama, hitting nearly thirty different cities before wrapping up in Las Vegas on December 6th. Along the way, Gossett will make stops in Boston, Atlanta, Denver, Philadelphia and Austin.
Gossett will be joined by an all-star cast of underrated openers with Willow Avalon, Drayton Farley, Kingfishr, James Tucker and Buffalo Traffic Jam making appearances throughout. Avalon, fresh off of her Stagecoach appearance with Zach Bryan, will open the most shows, making 12 stops during the second half of the tour.
Having the opportunity to see Gossett in Chicago last year during the first leg of his Back 40 Tour, I can confidently say he puts on one of the most underrated shows in the genre. Now backed by a full-band, the Texas native has made incredible adjustments to his early acoustic hits that play incredibly well in a live setting. With an additional 17 songs to work with from his upcoming album, the setlist promises to be a great one. If he’s in your city, Gossett is well worth the price of admission.
Presale begins today at 12 p.m. ET with general sale opening up this Thursday, May 22nd. Tickets can be purchased here.
Before The Westward Tour begins, Gossett will finish his current Back 40 Tour as well as the short American Trail Tour in July. All 2025 dates can be accessed on Gossett’s site.
