Everyone wants to paint the town red, but this time, Ella is painting it blue.
Today, one of the hottest up-and-coming acts in country music, Ella Langley, dropped a brand new song titled, “Paint The Town Blue.”
Written by Ella, along with Will Bunny, Travis Wood and the hit-making machine, Rhett Akins, the song is a confession that avoidance and distraction aren’t exactly always key to getting over a breakup.
“‘Paint The Town Blue’ is a song about heartbreak and giving yourself that one night to let all the emotions out,” says Ella. “Everyone copes with a relationship loss differently and when Will Bundy, Rhett Akins, Travis Wood, and I went into the songwriting room that day we wanted to say it’s okay to let it all out. To quit the fake it till you make it mentality and feel the emotions to move on from that person.”
Ever since Langley released her debut EP, Excuse The Mess, featuring her rockin’ collaboration with Koe Wetzel on, “That’s Why We Fight,” I’ve been captivated by her unique sound, story-telling capability and vulnerability on songs such as “Could’ve Been Her” and “Don’t We All.“
Ella will be featured alongside Jamey Johnson on the Judds’ 40th anniversary compilation album, A Tribute to the Judds, releasing on October 27th. She’s currently on tour with Jon Pardi and also recently announced that she will be joining Riley Green’s Ain’t My Last Rodeo Tour in 2024 as well as Morgan Wallen’s One Night At A Time 2024 Tour in Kansas City and Las Vegas.
