As Ella Langley continues to reach new heights of unthinkable accomplishments in both the country music world and beyond, her outspoken credit to God is arguably her most admirable facet.
Throughout her already highly successful 2026 Dandelion tour, Langley has been no stranger to preaching on and off stage about the work that God has done in her life. The Alabama native’s faith-based speeches have become a viral moment at each show ahead of her performance of “Loving Life Again,” and there’s no doubt that fans can see the light of the Lord shining through the megastar.
Not to mention her song “Speaking Terms,” which, despite being the only track not self-written by Langley on the album, has drawn wide attention from fans able to connect to its vulnerable lyrics relating to rebuilding one’s relationship with God. Just a few months back on Easter Sunday, the “Choosin’ Texas” singer shared a testament on her story along with a stunning performance of “Because He Lives,” noting:
Even though I’ve been a believer in Christ my whole life, my relationship with him has changed drastically over the last year. I started to have ‘faith.’ I started to view the days we have been given as a gift instead of a chore. I am so grateful for a God who leads with love and compassion. Thank you, Jesus, for giving me a way to spend eternity with you.
Langley’s continued faith is also not just something she uses as an act on stage; Christian author Tara Sierra Moseley caught a glimpse of Langley with her book on the table beside her in a video. She took to Instagram to acknowledge the star reading her devotional as well as offer a quick prayer of protection over the 27-year-old: “When I saw my book Declarations in the Desert on her table, I did a double take…and then thought – Lord, protect her. Take care of her. Guard her destiny. Keep her safe.”
Moseley noted, “I have seen this book make its way into prisons, halfway houses, and even into the quiet times of people like Ella.” The first book in Moseley’s trilogy series, “Declarations in the Desert” is a 90-day series that walks readers through four desert seasons, aiming to help them “break the enemy’s onslaught during some of the most dry and dusty valleys of life.”
It’s not only a tool aimed to help defeat the darkness by welcoming the kingdom of light into one’s life, but Tara also describes the book as a guide for “the seasons no one teaches you to pray through.” While the devotional is marketed as a meaningful read for anyone, it feels especially fitting for the chart-topping star, who is navigating one of the most whirlwind seasons of her life; one that few people, except the Lord, can truly offer guidance through.
Admirably, Langley even took to the comment section of Moseley’s post to affirm, “Thank you for this book. Thank you for sharing your gift.” The message obviously touched the author, who then responded with the uplifting comment, “Your life is the real gift, and who you are, your music is an overflow. Be encouraged, you have so many people across the world who are praying for you.”
The rest of the comment section was filled with people applauding Langley for her continued faith and extending their prayers for her career as she prepares to make music history. A 15th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 would see her surpass Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey for the longest-running No. 1 by a female artist.
She’ll also return to the stage tonight, July 23, in Pikeville, Kentucky, as she continues on the remainder of her summer and fall tour dates.
