Now THAT’S how you throw a Nashville party.
For those lucky enough to snag tickets to Luke Bryan’s massive Bridgestone Arena show last night, I think it’s safe to say they got more than a bang for their buck. As promised, the 30+ No.1 hitmaker took the stage in celebration of his recent ninth studio album release, Signs, along with a star-studded lineup featuring his fellow country music friends.
Not to mention, Bryan was surprised by three of his close pals, Jason Aldean, Darius Rucker, and Carrie Underwood, who presented him with not one but two RIAA diamond-certified plaques for “Country Girl (Shake It For Me)” and “Play It Again.” Riding off of the high of the massive accomplishment, the 50-year-old staple then proceeded to bring each of them out throughout the night for different duets and covers, and d*mn did it look like a good time.
Starting out with Rucker, the show would be unorthodox without at least one fan-favorite performance of “Wagon Wheel,” followed by the two also putting their own spin on a karaoke classic: Brooks & Dunn’s “Neon Moon.” As for Underwood, who will be returning alongside Bryan once more for 2027’s upcoming Idol season, they, of course, embraced her growing rock n’ roll era with a duet of Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On A Prayer.”
They also teamed up for Diamond Rio’s “Meet In The Middle,” which, unfortunately for me and all those around me, I’ve yet to get out of my head since seeing the clip on my feed this morning.
As for the two already co-touring longtime buddies, Aldean and Bryan kept it classic with yet another high-energy performance of the 2009 hit, “She’s Country,” that apparently cost Luke quite a high ticket. He joked beforehand, “I Venmoed him a lot for this,” later adding, “I Venmoed him $27, that’s a prime number, ain’t it?”
Keeping the ball rolling, other surprise guests included Dierks Bentley and Bryan getting “Drunk On A Plane” together and fellow Georgia native, Kane Brown, putting some “Miles On It.” Not to mention my most anticipated performance of the night, which I had previously predicted would come to fruition: Chris Stapleton joining Bryan for his co-penned hit, “Drink A Beer,” which you can actually hear the “White Horse” singer’s background vocals on the orginal recording.
Basically, I think everyone in the crowd must’ve burned 5000+ calories in one night, shaking it left and right with the “Fish Hunt Golf Drink” country star. I do have to admit, though, I’m a little surprised his “Finders Keepers” duet partner Luke Combs didn’t make an appearance.
Nonetheless, second to Alan Jackson’s final concert, I’d say this is the best star-studded country concert we’ll witness all year.
Despite inclement weather forcing the five-time Entertainer of the Year to cancel two of his recent 2026 Farm Tour dates, he still has a few dates left on his Word on the Street tour and a final co-headlining stop with Aldean this December. He’ll return to the stage tomorrow night, Sept. 26, in East Troy, Wisconsin.
