Fredericksburg, Virginia native Emma Zinck is taking Nashville, Tennessee by storm, captivating country music lovers with her “Electric Country” sound ever since she moved to Music City six years ago.
Amassing more than 150k social media followers, Zinck has had a throng of viral videos that have proven her musical prowess, notably her covers of Bruno Mars’ “Talking To The Moon” and Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero.” While her covers span all different genres, her original tunes have a splash of country twang — complete with her signature electric guitar sound, of course — most recently releasing a track titled “Leather Jacket” on all music streaming services last week.
Featuring a subtle rock influence, “Leather Jacket” utilizes an edgy, early 2000s meets country-inspired sound to appeal to those who are bitter about their ex, proving to be a true bad b***h breakup anthem (for lack of a better phrase). The visualizer she released today (June 28) helps to spread this same message of “empowering revenge,” filled with anger, angst and leather jackets, of course.
Throughout said visualizer, there are multiple leather jackets — serving as a nod to the title of the track — including one that is seen floating in mid-air. The haunting nature of said jackets represents something that those who have gone through a breakup have likely experienced: the “empowering revenge” that comes not giving your ex their stuff back, against their wants and wishes.
While the leather jackets help tell the overall story of the song, Zinck’s guitar slinging shots add a fun feel to the visualizer as well, solidifying her role as a true superstar with some stellar stage presence — one who has only scratched the surface of her artistry.
Recently sharing the stage with Lainey Wilson, alongside Elle King, Lynyrd Skynyrd and more during Nashville’s Big Bash New Years Eve special, the budding songstress has a plethora of performances on the horizon, including backing up Lainey Wilson again at the end of July at Cheyenne Frontier Days and the North Dakota State Fair, as well as her first-ever festival performance slot at WE Fest, alongside Eric Church, Jelly Roll and more in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota on August 2nd that is certain to be a must-see.
Teasing tons and tons of brand new tunes, country music lovers can expect some more music from Zinck as well, but until then, you can listen to “Leather Jacket” on your favorite streaming service AND watch the visualizer below:
