Randy Travis Singing Along To Jon Pardi Performing “She’s Got the Rhythm” At Alan Jackson’s Final Concert Is The Best Thing You’ll Watch All Day

Alongside his star-studded lineup, Alan Jackson had plenty of support in the crowd, with some of country music’s biggest names cheering him on from the audience, including one long-time friend and collaborator.

Sitting in his box-suite throne above the cheering crowd at Nissan Stadium was none other than fellow legend Randy Travis. Prior to the show, Travis, alongside his wife Mary, actually flashed across the big screens during a montage of celebrity tribute videos from those who could not attend/perform alongside the “Chattahoochee” singer.

Reminiscing on Jackson and Travis’ relationship throughout the years, Mary shared in the clip, “your presence and your voice will remain with all of us forever and ever, amen” (queue Randy chiming in his famous amen solo at the end). Little did fans know, the beloved couple was also in the stands, showing their support for Jackson and his nearly four-decade-long career throughout the rainy Nashville affair.

After Travis’ near-fatal stroke in July 2013, much has changed in his world as he continues to navigate life with aphasia, yet one thing remains unchanged: his lifelong love for music. Continuing to stay connected to his passion by hitting the road on his 2026 More Life tour, he couldn’t help but join in and showcase his endless passion for singing as he chimed in alongside Jon Pardi’s rendition of “She’s Got the Rhythm (And I Got The Blues)” during the night.

Now, for those who may not be aware, the iconic 1992 chart-topping hit from Jackson’s third studio album, A Lot About Livin’ (And A Little ‘Bout Love, was actually a co-write alongside the Country Music Hall of Famer. Jackson and Travis wrote the tune while out on the road together back in 1991 on their High Lonesome Tour.

While they initially intended to pitch the bluesy tune to B.B. King, Jackson ended up releasing it in October the following year and even received an award for being one of the year’s most performed country songs. That tour also produced some other incredible co-writes, recorded by Travis, including “I’d Surrender All,” “Forever Together,” “Better Class of Losers,” and more.

Reminiscing on the hit, Travis couldn’t help but bob his head and jubilantly sing along to Pardi’s performance during Saturday night’s June 27 concert. In the caption of the video, he proudly clarified the story, saying:

What a night at Alan’s final concert! Alan & I wrote “She’s Got the Rhythm (And I Got the Blues)” in 1991 together on my tour bus in Columbus, Ohio! We initially intended to pitch the track to blues legend B.B. King. But Alan decided to record it as a massive 1990s country hit and I’m sure glad he did!!!!

While this past weekend marked a bittersweet and undeniably monumental career milestone for Jackson, the two certainly have had their fair share of on-stage moments together, including their undeniably iconic television appearance alongside George Jones and Vince Gill, where they joined the possum in singing “He Stopped Loving Her Today” and “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry.” After you’ve finished wiping your tears from Travis’ wholesome TikTok video from Saturday night, this 1992 Burt Reynolds clip is your next nostalgia-heavy must-watch.
