Luke Combs spent his final weekend on tour overseas in good company, finally reunited with his wife Nicole.
A couple of weeks ago, the country music superstar unfortunately had to miss his wife and mother of their three kids’ birthday on July 21 while traveling between his European tour stops. Unable to fly home, he posted a touching message to his social media highlighting some of his favorite Nicole pics, letting her know from thousands of miles away, “I love you, I miss you, and I hope you have the best day ever!”
Luckily, the two were able to make up for lost time and finally spend at least their wedding anniversary together this past weekend on Saturday, August 1. Celebrating an exciting six years together since getting married at an intimate beach ceremony in Florida in 2020, Combs got to highlight his gorgeous bride on the big day in front of a sold-out crowd of 90,000 fans.
While sure, it probably wasn’t the most intimate commemoration, Combs made the most of his second night headlining Wembley Stadium while also getting to give his wife a pretty epic gift in my opinion. The “Hurricane” singer often dedicates his 2017 track, “Beautiful Crazy,” to Nicole, which he insanely wrote just two weeks after meeting her. Talk about setting the bar high.
Before heading into the performance, he took the time to graciously recognize her hard work at home while he’s spent quite a few weeks away from home. Combs shared with the crowd, “I’ve been gone from home for just over a month, doing shows all across Europe; obviously we’re ending here in Wembley. This next song is really special for me, and it’s a special day for it.”
He then admitted, “When you go away on these tours, often I feel like the people that are most forgotten are the people that are at home.” Recognizing that while he’s been selling out stadiums, Nicole has been holding it down on the home front, he added, “My wife has been home all month taking care of three little boys, and today is our sixth-year wedding anniversary.”
Luckily, she was able to catch the last string of three shows, which also marked a special occasion as Combs received his third-ever Guinness World Record, becoming the first solo country act to headline the stadium. Not only was the tribute track from Combs’ debut album a special marker of the two’s beginning of their relationship, but it was also their wedding song, noting before his performance, “I know she would really, really love to hear you guys sing it as loud as you can. This one goes out to Nicole wherever, baby. I love you.”
Combs then proceeded to deliver his twenty billionth spectacular live rendition of the song that I’m sure had every couple slow dancing in the crowd, fueling at least one proposal and definitely touching his wife in the audience. She later came out on stage during “Fast Car,” peering out behind the piano and taking in her husband’s epic view of screaming fans. And yes, she did, in fact, take part in the nightly routine of shotgunning beers, walking out alongside singer Niall Horan and Kaleb Cooper.
Surely Nicole and their three boys are over the moon excited to have their superstar dad home and finally wrapped up with his long summer of touring. The North Carolina native even shared to his story their adorable countdown calendar a few days ago, tracking, “How Many Sleeps Until Dada Comes Home?

Thankfully, now Combs and his wife can enjoy part two of their wedding anniversary celebrations at home, and I’m sure Combs is officially back to diaper duty. Check out his heartfelt tribute and Nicole’s other on-stage appearances below:
