In case you’ve been patiently waiting for confirmation from either Ella Langley or Tucker Wetmore that they’re dating…I think you’re outta luck.
A couple of weeks ago, Ella fellas around the world mourned the loss of their dream wife after word spread that Langley and Wetmore had been spotted leaving the Nashville Songwriter Awards together. The speculation that the two are more than friends has been swirling for months, especially after they were also reportedly seen vacationing together in the British Virgin Islands just last December.
While the erupting news of their alleged relationship pretty much broke the internet, neither country music star seems in any rush to publicly define their relationship anytime soon, and rightfully so, because Lord knows what kind of online prying that would unleash. Still, fans are bound to be curious.
During an exclusive fan Q+A at Wetmore’s Wichita, Kansas, show, over the weekend on Friday, October 2, one brave fan in the crowd raised her hand to ask about the viral rumors, and based on Wetmore’s response, he’s neither denying nor confirming.
The young lady started off her question by asking, “So like there’s a rumor going around,” followed by the crowd erupting in giggles, surely knowing what was coming in the second half of that statement. Wetmore obviously had to know the question was coming too, immediately cutting her off by launching into Lee Brice’s 2017 hit, “Rumor.”
And might I just say, in that very moment, I saw a glimmer of myself in the 26-year-old Washington native, because only an elite group of people feel the need to interrupt a conversation by singing every time someone says a phrase that reminds them of a song. It’s probably a little less annoying when a professional singer does it, though.
The girl giggling in response to Tucker’s impromptu cover continued with her prying saying, “…That you and Miss Ella Langley are a thing. Can you confirm?” Wetmore paused in contemplation at first, nodding his head no, before promptly moving on, “Um, next question.”
The “Brunette” singer still has a few tour stops ahead of him for the remainder of 2026, returning to the stage with Brooks & Dunn this Thursday, October 8, in Lafayette, LA. Not to mention, his chart-dominating “Choosin’ Texas” counterpart is preparing to wrap up the remainder of her Dandelion tour at the end of this month, hitting the stage on Wednesday, October 7, for an exciting headlining show at Red Rocks.
