Oh boy, is the internet a messy place today.
Thanks to some troll’s TikTok comment on Turnpike frontman’s Evan Felker’s wife’s page, we’ve officially rehashed nearly decade-old drama. For those who aren’t aware of the messy love triangle situation from back in 2018, I’ve got you covered…
The story goes, Evan and his wife Staci were married for about two years (September 2016 – August 2018) before US Weekly broke the news in April 2018 that the “7&7” singer was dating Texas native Miranda Lambert. At the time, the two were spending a lot of time together thanks to the fact that Turnpike was opening for Lambert on her Livin’ Like Hippies tour.
Lo and behold, Evan and Staci went on to get divorced a couple of months later after rumors started swirling (note: the split was not confirmed to be directly caused by Lambert), and his relationship with Miranda seemingly only lasted a few months before she went on to meet her now-husband, Brendan McLoughlin (later marrying him in 2019). Luckily for the Felkers, the two ended up rekindling their marriage, welcoming their first daughter back in 2021 and announcing baby number 2 the following year.
Now fast forward to today, and Felker’s wife, Staci, is standing on business. The wife of the Oklahoman red dirt staple popped up on TikTok this afternoon, responding to someone’s comment which stated, “You kind of look like Miranda Lambert.” Staci replied with a hilarious short 13-second clip, questioning, “Well, I can’t tell if you’re blind or trying to start sh*t.”
She went on to amicably compliment Lambert while also clapping back, “This doesn’t hurt my feelings; she’s cute. We have a little bit of history, but I won, so I’d be lucky to look like her.”
Fans also couldn’t help but hilariously point out that, much like every single Turnpike song in existence, Staci started out her statement with, “Well.” She acknowledged the pattern, replying to another comment, “When you live with the man, the myth, the legend, the WELL slips out.”
I have a feeling Kacey Musgraves and Lambert’s latest single “Horses & Divorces” could very well apply to a future rekindled relationship between these two ladies too.
