Album announcement coming soon?
Though it’s only been a little over a year since the release of Luke Combs‘ fourth studio album, Gettin’ Old, it seems like the “Hurricane” singer could very well be gearing up for another album with all the new music he’s been teasing over the past few months.
Tracks such as “Take Me Out to the Ball Game,” “Huntin’ By Yourself” and “The Man He Sees in Me” have been teased in the past two months alone.
Today, Combs took to Instagram to tease yet another brand new song, “Plant a Seed.”
“Plant a Seed,” like the rest of the previously-mentioned teased tracks, continues Combs’ journey into fatherhood and maturity in general.
Here, he’s playing with the concept of time and making the most of it with his loved ones while they’re young. In the chorus, he sings:
“Time ain’t always your friend
It starts slow and gets faster towards the end
So fill up your heart with love
Pass it on before you go
Thank the man upstairs that you were there
To plant a seed and watch it grow”
The teaser for “Plant a Seed” comes just weeks after Combs released the brand new single, “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma,” off of the upcoming Twisters album which has amassed over 15 million streams on Spotify alone.
