Country meets Vegas.
Earlier this year, Clark County records indicated there were building permit applications for a “Country Music Restaurant” on the strip of Las Vegas. Of course, with Morgan Wallen being the biggest artist in the genre, and with plans at the time to open his “This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen” in Nashville, many fans assumed it would belong to the “Last Night” singer himself.
Well, over the weekend, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reportedly confirmed who the bar will belong to and as you can see from our headline, it will not be a second location from Morgan.
Instead, Jason Aldean plans to open his fourth location of his Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar at 63 Las Vegas. According to applications, the construction will cost almost $10 million for the three-level, 10,000 square foot building sitting atop the 63rd floor of 3716 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
Aldean obviously has strong ties to Vegas that date back to 2017 when a gunman opened fire from his nearby hotel suite at the Mandalay Bay into the crowd at Route 91 Harvest festival just after Aldean began the intro to his 2013 No. 1, “When She Says Baby.” With 60 people dead, and more than 400 injured, it is still considered the deadliest mass-shooting in our countries history.
At this moment, there are no additional details into the restaurant itself. However, I imagine it won’t differ much from Aldean’s three other locations in Nashville, Gatlinburg and Pittsburgh.
