“The Gayest Thing I’ve Ever Heard” – Zach Bryan Gets In Altercation At New York Bar After Reportedly Asking To Stop Being Recorded [Watch]

Over the past few months, it seems as if Zach Bryan cannot keep himself out of controversy. Whether it’s his highly publicized breakup with Barstool personality, Brianna Chickenfry, which included a diss track from Dave Portnoy, an alleged $12 million NDA offer and more or his Super Bowl appearance and subsequent cryptic post/caption with the current president, Donald Trump, Bryan has been making headlines weekly regardless of his music.

Last night, the “Something in the Orange” singer was spotted at a bar in New York City’s West Village playing pool with friends as indicated by his Instagram story last night.

Though his Instagram made it seem like it was an uneventful night in the city, fellow bar patron’s videos tell a completely different story.

In a video leaked by TMZ by one of the bar patrons, Bryan is shown getting into a strange altercation with them after finding out that he’s recording their game of pool with a pair of Ray-Ban Meta glasses.

If you’re not familiar with the glasses, they’re a new product from the two companies that allow the wearer to capture video, make calls, send messages, listen to music, live stream and more all while wearing them.

It seems as if Bryan caught on to the fact that the patron was recording at some point in the night. Early in the video, the 28-year-old singer/songwriter said, “Do you work for Ray-Ban?” before telling him “I wanna rip them off your face so bad because we’re at a bar.”

After the video cuts, the patron is shown trying to turn the video off as Bryan randomly says, “I love cops.” three times, likely a reference to his infamous October 2023 arrest.

After the exchange, the video shows multiple clips of Bryan in better spirits, playing what can be assumed as multiple rounds of pool with the patron and his friends. The “I Remember Everything” singer can be seen high-fiving multiple people, at one point proclaiming “double or nothing” before shaking hands with someone.

The video cuts once again and shows the Oklahoman singer/songwriter in a heated exchange with the patron who’s been recording throughout the night.

The patron tells Bryan, “I’m taking videos of my friends. I don’t care about you; I don’t care about you and your f*cking friends. I’m taking videos of me and my friends so that we can cherish them as fond memories.”

After another cut in the video, he said, “I’m not trying to record your a*s, dude. I’m trying to record my sh*t, my friends for memories I want to have. It has nothing to do with you, and you’re just being a f*cking douche. Like you’re seriously just being a d*ck.”

Bryan simply replied by telling him, “That was the gayest thing I’ve ever heard.” before walking away as the video ends.

It’s been reported by TMZ that multiple other witnesses at the bar said that Bryan and his friends reportedly asked the patron to stop recording “more than a half a dozen times,” but the other party kept filming in a “very secretive and coy way.”

It should also be noted that a lot of context is missing from this video. From the cuts in the middle of conversations to the omission of the fact that Bryan asked the patron to stop recording multiple times, it seems as if there’s much more to the story than just what’s presented in the edited video.

As of now Bryan nor his team have commented on the altercation. Watch here:
