Currently seething with jealousy at everyone who got to witness Luke Combs’ performance last night.

The 11-time CMA winner popped into the City Winery in Nashville on Monday night, January 19th, for a live taping of NBC’s Sunday Sit Down with Willie Geist. Beyond discussing his career and future goals (like playing a tour of free concerts at a handful of SEC bars), Combs of course had to bless the audience with a live performance.

During the sold-out event, the 35-year-old country superstar played his recently released track, “Sleepless in a Hotel Room.” Since its release on January 4th, the song has already become a fan favorite within Combs’ discography, with many fans referring to it as a revival of his older music.

It also happens to be the sixth track to be pre-released from the full upcoming album, The Way I Am, coming out on March 20, 2026. The other five out of the twenty-two tracklist include “My Kinda Saturday Night,” “Days Like These,” “15 Minutes,” “Back in the Saddle,” and “Giving
Her Away.” With already over 12 million streams on Spotify, there’s no denying that this song is a playlist must-add.

During the night, Combs played two songs for the audience, one being his 2016 hit, “When It Rains It Pours,” and, of course, the other being “Sleepless in a Hotel Room.” Although it’s been said a million times, Combs is one of the very few artists who can rely on his vocals during a stripped-down show and have it be an outstanding experience.

Monday night looked like no exception, with just him, his navy blue guitar, and a few bandmates, his raspy voice echoes through the audience. Safe to say the hit “Sleepless in a Hotel Room” is just as captivating live as it is on the recording.

Luckily, there will be plenty more performances of this hit to come, along with the rest of the album. Following its release, the “Hurricane” singer will be traveling throughout North America and the UK for his headlining, My Kinda Saturday Night Tour, along with an insane list of supporters. Throughout the dates, he’ll be joined by special guests, Dierks Bentley, Thomas Rhett, The Teskey Brothers, The Script (fingers crossed for a collab performance of “Breakeven”), and openers like Ty Myers, Jake Worthington, and the Castellows.
