From “Best Halftime Show I’ve Ever Seen” To “Feels Like When They Have A Vegetarian Alternative At Dinner” – The Internet Reacts To TPUSA’s All-American Halftime Show

Following the Seahawks’ 29-13 victory in last night’s Super Bowl LX against the Patriotis, much of the conversation continues to center around the halftime show.

After the second quarter, Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny took the stage at center field at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Simultaneously, Turning Point USA streamed its own alternative “Halftime Show,” featuring Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett.

The split in viewership, now being viewed by many as part of a broader political divide, has sparked widespread debate online, with fans weighing in on both performances. While official viewership numbers are still being finalized, Google Trends shows that “how many people watched the halftime show 2026” is currently the fourth most-searched topic, with more than 2 million searches.

As of now, TPUSA’s YouTube livestream has amassed nearly 20 million views with a reported 6.1 million concurrent viewers, not including viewership from other platforms and live TV. Meanwhile, fueled by his massive global fanbase, Bad Bunny drew viewers well beyond the traditional NFL audience. His performance reportedly surpassed 135 million views, earning it the title of the most-watched halftime show of all time.

During the “All-American” alternative show, its patriotic-heavy theme included a tribute to late-founder Charlie Kirk, along with Kid Rock performing (and since releasing) his version of Cody Johnson’s “Til You Can’t.” Lee Brice also took his slot on the stage as an opportunity to debut his new song, “Country Nowadays,” which was written in honor of Kirk. Obviously, as the internet continues to erupt, there has been no lack of mixed opinions on either side.

For a lot of those who opted to flip to this Kid Rock-led show, many expressed their supportive reviews and, of course, opposition to Bad Bunny:

Turning Point USA halftime show was AMAZING. Best halftime show I’ve ever seen. The last line in Kid Rock’s sobg moved me to tears.

    — cara (@cara__bear) February 9, 2026

    All of it was outstanding!
But the fact that Kid Rock directed millions to Jesus, the main attraction and the core message of the event, struck the heartstrings in the heart of God. (Resonating powerfully with God's heart) Brilliant! God bless him!

😭 THIS SONG ENDED ME LAST NIGHT….

💯 “I just want to catch my fish, drive my truck, drink my beer and not wake up to all this stuff I don’t want to hear.”

    FACTS!!! pic.twitter.com/a3kGGB6QuS

    — Maddie Evans (@EstieMaddie) February 9, 2026

That Lee Brice song was one of the best songs I’ve heard in a while. And I already know who’s hating it and I don’t care.

    — Jared Stark (@Jared_Stark2) February 9, 2026

While others criticized what was seen as a “lackluster” calling out Kid Rock’s poor vocals and the non-necessity of a second Super Bowl halftime show:

I understood every word of the Turning Point halftime show which is why I changed it to Bad Bunny.

The turning point halftime show feels like when they have a vegetarian alternative at dinner

    — mark normand (@marknorm) February 8, 2026

My favorite part was not watching it at all.

What, no erica in a glitter pantsuit with pyrotechnics?

Kid Rock makes music for people who met their wife at a family reunion.

    — Alex Cole (@acnewsitics) February 8, 2026

We used to be a proper country where regardless of your political beliefs we could all at least agree that Kid Rock sucks.

    — octopus/caveman (@octopuscaveman) February 9, 2026

I am sorry but I hate both options.

On The one hand, we have a half-time show presented without a word of English spoken.

On the other hand we have an organization that scammed its views by paying platform advertisers, followed by influencers to pretend they broke records.…

    — Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) February 9, 2026

As well as a number of people praising Bad Bunny’s performance:

Well. That made me feel more proudly American than anything Kid Rock has ever done.

    — K A C E Y (@KaceyMusgraves) February 9, 2026

Kinda wanna party with Bad Bunny

    — TannerUsrey (@TUsreymusic) February 9, 2026

No seriously what did Bad Bunny do for people to be mad at?
    He had fine women
He had a male and female gender wedding
He had the USA flag lead the way
He said God Bless America for goodness sake

If people still pretending to be mad at it, I’m sorry but..you might be racist 😅

    — Jono Barnes (@JonoBarnes) February 9, 2026

Despite its mixed reviews, the Turning Point Half Time Show has apparently set a precedent and will be returning for next year’s Super Bowl. Andrew Kolvet, spokesperson from TPUSA, claims that over 20 million views just on socials alone tuned in last night. Given the success, Kolvet told FOX News, “It’s blown our minds tonight. So we are gonna commit to doing this again, next year. We’re gonna do another half-time show for the country.” Adding on, “If you give us a year to plan this thing, I’m really excited to see what we can pull off.”

Turning Point USA has announced that they will host another halftime show at next year’s Super Bowl.

    Total cultural victory 🇺🇸

As fans continue to argue online over Sunday’s halftime show, one comment is arguably the best option to unify this divide:
