“Evolution Is Not A Fact, It’s A Theory That Cannot Be Proven” – Morgan Wallen’s Dad Says Schools Are Teaching Kids The Bible Is Just A “Storybook” In Latest SiriusXM Sermon

Morgan Wallen’s dad returned with another Sunday Seven sermon yesterday on SiriusXM, and this week he covered quite the heavy hitter: evolution.

Continuing his exploration of the first book of the bible, Genesis, Tommy Wallen, who’s been a pastor for over thirty years, delved into verses 1:20-2:7 on his featured Morgan Wallen radio show. Tommy got right down to business this time around, using this week’s verses to set the record straight on the never-ending debate of evolution vs. creation.

Using day five of God’s creation of the earth as his backing for his message, he explains that on this day, the Lord created the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and “every living thing that scurries and swims in the water and every single bird, each producing offspring of the same kind, and God saw that it was good.” This last tidbit, “each producing offspring of the same kind,” is a driving force of Tommy’s sermon and God’s message that everything that God creates can only reproduce things like itself.

He plainly puts it, “We don’t plant apple trees and go pick bananas off that tree. We don’t plant tomato vines and go pick cucumbers; we don’t see dogs giving birth to a litter of cats.” He uses this argument and the fact that seeds can’t cross-produce on their own (without the help of humans) to explain that “evolution is not a fact, it’s a theory that cannot be proven, and if really thought about long enough, it even couldn’t happen.”

The Sneedville native then shares his own recount of being in school in the 1970’s to 80s, noting that when evolution was being taught in the classroom, they covered it as a theory, not a fact. “My eighth-grade teacher, who was a follower of Jesus, would not even teach it; we skipped over it.”

Nowadays, though, he says the curriculum is quite the opposite. “Forty-five years later, they want us to believe evolution is true and the bible is a theory or just a storybook.” He then asks the listeners his classic line found in every episode, “Again, we have a decision to make— what and who are we gonna believe?”

Tommy continues by covering the remainder of the verses, which dive into the creation of mankind, one male and one female, noting that, “the Lord formed man out of the dust of the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils and man became a living being.” This verse showcases that humans are separate from anything else living on Earth because we are three parts: spirit, soul, and body.

Impressively wrapping up the just a little over seven-minute-long episode, which is probably his most controversial yet, Tommy emphasizes that we are “God’s most unique creation.” He’ll return next week, Sunday, August 9, by exploring the concept: Why did God create?

To listen to the whole message and his previous week’s sermons, check out the full episodes streaming now on the SiriusXM App. You can also catch Tommy’s upcoming shows on Wallen’s Channel 64, airing live at 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm ET on the app and in car radios every Sunday.
