I have a sneaking suspicion that 2027 is about to be another year of Riley Green mania.
The 37-year-old Alabama native who just released his fourth studio album this past Friday and is about to make his coaching debut on The Voice tonight, also has yet another festival appearance under his belt for 2027. So far, the Duckman has found himself as the headlining star for quite a few festival shows, including the acclaimed California show-stopper, Stagecoach.
And now, as of today, the “Worst Way” singer is also officially headed to the Windy City next July. Chicago’s biggest country music and BBQ festival (I know what a dream combo) is back for it’s 14 year this summer with a fresh batch of four new headliners hitting the stage.
This morning, in addition to Green, they announced the fan-favorite reunited duo, Florida Georgia Line as one of the other headliners for their July 8 through 11 event. Adding the show as their third official stop on their anticipated 2027 festival tour, the boys seem to be on everyone’s festival bucket list for the year as fans amp up to hear their radio hits live once more, like “Cruise” and “Anything Goes.”
Also hitting the stage is Cloud 9 phenomenon Megan Moroney, marking her first festival announcement for 2027. So far, the only other dates on her calendar are the Australian leg of her pink-filled tour. With the “Hair Salon” singer also working on a new batch of music following her 2026 arena tour and February album release, the July festival date could come at the perfect time for her emo-cowgirl fanbase to hear some fresh material.
Finally, rounding out the quartet for the weekend is Tucker Wetmore, who will apparently extend his standout summer of touring this year with this Chicago headlining slot, joining the likes of over 20 other supporting musical acts who have yet to be announced. Now, out of the kindness of my heart, I’m not even going to touch on just how messy this love-triangle-esque lineup is (FGL excluded, of course) but I have to admit, it did make me chuckle a little.
As for the Chicago concertgoers, the countdown is officially on, with the festival only 289 days away and presale gearing up this Wednesday, September 23 at 10 am. Fans can also purchase their 4-day wristbands during general on-sale this Friday, September 25, at 10 AM (be sure to snag them while they’re at their lowest price).
