I’m a firm believer that there are two important things about Florida Georgia Line.
The first is that, to their credit, everyone who cares about country music has an opinion on them. The second is that their music brings us all somewhere. For me, that’s the weekend I got my license and drove through 12 South thinking I was the man while listening to “Anything Goes.” But enough of that nostalgia, because with their 2027 festival tour, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley are about to bring us on a whole new journey.
There’s just one issue. We only know where four of those stops will be. So, for those of us who won’t be in Myrtle Beach, Indio, Oshkosh, or Chicago, I bring you my official predications for FGL’s other eight festival appearances.
While I don’t claim perfection, I do have a method to my madness. I start with FGL’s teaser graphic in its current state to find ranges of dates to fill in. From there, I zoom in on any features that are noticeable through the blurred titles. With any hints for names in mind, I then look for festivals that have booked similar acts in the past. Finally, I eliminate any duplicate location options.
Tortuga (April 2-4)
Since this is a game of fill-in-the-blank, let’s start with the duo’s own teaser. It pains me to go out of calendar order, but the second date stands out too much to ignore for one key reason: it’s one word. In the festival game, one-worded names are rare to say the least. Using a process of elimination (thanks Stagecoach), I am confident that FGL will take their talents to what might be the perfect setting for their music: Fort Lauderdale for Rock the Ocean’s Tortuga.
Country to Country (March 12-14)
Now we can backtrack some to (presumably) March. Looking at this month’s festival list, I’m predicting that the boys go across the pond for Country to Country. There are a few reasons here. First, C2C shared today that it will announce its line-up on September 28. Perfect timing. Second, with other March events like Outlaws & Legends taking on indie-adjacent brands, the UK’s premier country event best matches the FGL sound within this timeframe. Finally, and perhaps most importantly for this case, Brian Kelley has already taken this stage before.
Country Thunder Arizona (April 8-11)
With a festival on each side, stop #3 should be easy enough. If you’ll let me, I’m going to assume that C2C is the duo’s only trip abroad. And so, with few U.S. options, I expect to see them join Country Thunder Arizona, a move that fits their image based on previous performers like Lainey Wilson and Keith Urban.
Barefoot Country Music Fest (June 17-20)
Moving past Stagecoach (April 23-25) and Carolina Country (June 10-13), we arrive at the sixth stop of the tour and what I believe will be New Jersey for Barefoot. Beyond nicely fitting the calendar, this prediction comes in the wake of the festival’s September 18 announcement of Carrie Underwood as a headliner. This move places FGL’s string of news alongside its own. But even more, it provides another ideal beach setting for hits like “Sun Daze.”
Great Jones County Fair (July 21-25)
Now we reach what is admittedly the more difficult part of the list. But we can try to disqualify some options. On their own, I would likely go with Country Thunder Wisconsin or Country Jam USA. But with Hubbard and Kelley already planning a visit to the Badger State for XRoads41, these choices seem unlikely. I also like the Calgary Stampede here, but I’ll save Canada for now (more on that later). Instead, I think that we could see an appearance at the Great Jones County Fair, an event known for hosting comparable acts like Riley Green and Bailey Zimmerman. Not to mention, this stop fits nice geographically between Windy City Smokeout and my next prediction.
Big Valley Jamboree (July 29-August 1)
Ok. If I’m being honest, this pick first came to mind because the teaser seems to show a blurred J in the final word of this stop. But in any case, I don’t know how a tour like this one could avoid Alberta. And with last year’s line-up featuring similar acts like Old Dominion and Chase Rice, this appearance is a great thematic fit for FGL.
At this point in the festival season, we don’t have much in terms of known dates. After all, we’re still in it for 2026. But there’s a theme on this list of FGL, much like their music itself, popping up at the beach. And so, based on its early-October timing, I predict an appearance at Country Calling. I’ll also add that this year’s festival features the likes of Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert, making it a great fit for the duo’s era of country.
Reaching the finish line, we find ourselves comfortably in October. As the festival season winds down, this timing gives us fewer options to work with. However, Stars of Texas gives us a decent contender for two reasons. First, before this point, FGL has not reached Texas (one point for geography). Second, with this year’s line-up including Brad Paisley, I see some resemblance to Hubbard and Kelley’s style.
And so, we arrive at the end of this incredibly scientific list. It could be mostly wrong. But if “Anything Goes,” it was worth a shot.
