While most festivals have yet to roll out their 2027 lineups, Carolina Country Music Fest already has a major leg up, announcing none other than Florida Georgia Line as its first official headliner.
The news comes just one day after the fan-favorite duo announced their return to the road with 12 festival stops planned for 2027 on their Anything Goes Again: The Festival Tour. And as of this morning, CCMF is now the first of those dozen festivals to officially announce FGL is cruisin’ down to the Carolina coast as a headliner for the four-day event.
The boys previously kicked off their comeback plans with the exciting news that they’ll perform at Stagecoach this April. However, since they’re opening Thursday night’s kickoff show as unofficial “headliners,” CCMF marks their first announced true headlining performance of 2027.
And talk about a long time coming. Since their surprise reunion at CMA Fest earlier this June, everyone and their mother has been back on an FGL kick, patiently waiting to find out when they’d bring their high-energy live show back to the road. While CCMF has yet to reveal which artists will take the stage each night, FGL is already shaping up to deliver one of the biggest sets of the June 10-13 weekend.
If you’ve been a longtime CCMF attendee, you’ll remember Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley last appeared at the Myrtle Beach oceanfront festival back in 2019; their 2027 appearance will mark an epic eight-year return to CCMF and their first time back on the festival stage together since their hiatus. Take it from someone who got to witness one of their first CMA performances in Nashville firsthand: there’s no better nostalgic feeling than hearing these two revive a catalog packed with hits, including their 19 No. 1s.
Likewise, for those who have never experienced the magic of live country music paired with CCMF’s lively, boardwalk-adjacent setting, the festival will return for its 12th year in 2027. Reigning as one of the East Coast’s largest outdoor country music festivals, FGL is only the beginning of what should be a star-studded lineup rolling out over the next few weeks.
Last year, more than 40 artists performed across multiple stages, including Riley Green, Blake Shelton, Post Malone, and Luke Bryan (who you may remember spurred the festival’s mega-viral tequila-drinking internet phenomenon, Randy).
Now, while I don’t mean to stress you out, I do fear it’s my public duty to advise you to prepare your wallets and credit cards. CCMF has sold out for five consecutive years, and with FGL now in the mix, I have no doubt 2027 will follow suit.
While it may be a little over eight months away, there’s more than just the music to look forward to. The family-friendly event also makes for the perfect excuse to turn the weekend into a beach getaway, conveniently located just steps away from the iconic 1.2-mile-long Myrtle Beach Boardwalk.
