Props to Under The Big Sky Festival, which once again curated the perfect lineup fitting its mountainous Montana backdrop.
This past summer, the Whitefish-based country music extravaganza delivered a standout three-day weekend featuring Chris Stapleton, Zach Top, and Cody Jinks as the main headliners. With big shoes to fill in 2027, this July the festival will return for its eighth annual year with Zach Bryan, Kacey Musgraves, and folk staple Nathaniel Rateliff (who, fun fact, performed at the inaugural festival back in 2019).
Surprisingly, Bryan has found himself the star of more than a couple festival lineups so far this year, with fans quickly flocking to his recent EP release and the consequent announcement of his 2027 Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs tour. Similarly, the “Dry Spell” singer will keep her momentum of a busy touring schedule in 2026 rolling into the new year with a string of European tour dates, and Under The Big Sky marking her first official U.S. show for 2027.
Continuing to emphasize this year’s indie-country mix of artists, other performers throughout the weekend include Sam Barber, Midland, Buffalo Traffic Jam, Paul Cauthen, Evan Honer, The Wallflowers, and Josiah and the Bonnevilles. And if you thought the list stopped there, you’d be widely incorrect.
The jam-packed lineup of nearly 40 artists also includes Laci Kaye Booth (who’s been on our tour with Ella Langley this past year), Wade Forster, Lily Fitts, Shelby Stone, Jonah Kagen, Brandon Flowers, and more.
Throughout July 16-18, the stunning Big Mountain Ranch venue will also welcome to its grounds a weekend of summer fun, including fan-favorite rodeo events. Luckily, this is one festival that hasn’t started the rat race for ticket sales yet, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t bound to sell out quickly.
Fans can sign up for presale now by following this link to join the SMS list. The presale will go live next Friday (Nov. 6) at 10 AM MT, followed by general on sale at @ PM MT. You can also secure your passes for just 25% down, with payment plans available for a limited time.
